Stress = Fight + Flight? Not Necessarily.

If you are like me, the most of what you have read and heard about response to stress must have informed that we are ‘wired’ to fight and flight in response to it. So, this article by Dr. Kelly McGonigal was an eye opener for me. She informs that the way we are wired also enables one to choose tending and befriending instead of flight and fight. No she does not suggest that to be tending and befriending we need to generate more stress in our lives.:) It is helpful to unlearn the past learning and remember that by choosing our response to stress properly we can get some benefits out of it.
