A lot of people today, and news media too, talk about world population growth and potential for food shortages in the coming years. I am no expert to evaluate the merits of the arguments put forwarded by these “experts”. Today I came across a TED presentation a Director at MIT Media Lab that paints a much rosier future for me. He is coordinating (directing) efforts to utilize technologies from various disciplines to improve food production.
The project he describes is fascinating and I have no doubt that this and similar efforts would assure that the world population does not have to look forward to starvation. Use the link below to watch this presentation.
